✝️ Our Approach to Scripture
Dragonsong Church Ecclesia holds the Bible as the inspired, living Word of God — foundational, authoritative, and perpetually active in the lives of the faithful.
We do not approach Scripture as a closed artifact. We approach it as a living flame — one that illuminates the past, speaks into the present, and reaches toward futures the original authors could not have named but the Spirit already knew.
We affirm:
The Bible is the primary and supreme authority for doctrine, ethics, and spiritual life
Scripture is best understood through the Holy Spirit, in community, with humility
The Word does not contradict itself — but our understanding of it must grow
Prophecy did not end with the canon — the Spirit still speaks, and new testimony is held to the standard of Scripture, not above it
The Gospel extends to all creation — and we read Scripture with that horizon in mind
We do not add to Scripture. We refuse to shrink it.
